Telehealth Company Experiences Continued Growth in First Half of 2023

OpenLoop, a health tech leader delivering full-stack, white-labeled clinical support to companies nationwide, continues to see major growth in the first half of 2023. 

Growth and Expansion

Starting off the year strong in January, OpenLoop acquired Reliant.MD’s practice group. This acquisition allowed OpenLoop to continue to expand the depth of its clinical services and further confirmed its place as a leader in digital and hybrid healthcare delivery.

In March of 2023, OpenLoop announced their $15 Million in Series A funding. The round was led by Nava Ventures, with participation from new investors UnityPoint Health Ventures and PrimeTime Ventures, and existing investors SpringTide Ventures and ManchesterStory. At this same time, OpenLoop announced a new nationwide insurance payer network that allows clients to offer reimbursable services to patients instead of cash pay only options.

Early April brought another acquisition as OpenLoop acquired Imaging Panda and announced the addition of a new diagnostic imaging support service. The acquisition and new service line allowed OpenLoop to offer providers a simple and intuitive portal for ordering every variety of imaging including x-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRIs in all 50 states, saving the time and headache of chasing down image orders and results.

Certifications and Events

Also in April, OpenLoop became LegitScript certified. LegitScript is the global leader in merchant monitoring, investigative research, certification and policy expertise over high-risk products and services. This merchant certification allows OpenLoop to continue to raise the bar in digital health delivery for clients and clinicians with one of the highest levels of commercial integrity validation. 

This Spring, OpenLoop was also busy on the telehealth conference scene. We sent team members to the 2023 HIMSS, ATA, ViVE and Virtual-First Care West conferences to network, exhibit and attend thought leadership sessions with fellow innovators in the marketplace. Following the HIMSS 2023 conference, OpenLoop’s own Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Laura Purdy appeared on a HIMSS TV episode where she discussed telehealth, interoperability and health equity. 

Awards and Recognition

Summertime brought multiple award recognitions. In May, OpenLoop was featured on Becker’s Hospital Review’s annual Telehealth Companies to Know list. Then the following month, Dr. Laura Purdy, OpenLoop CMO was also recognized on a Becker’s Hospital Review list, Women in Health IT to Know. And last but certainly not least, the Tech Tribune named OpenLoop to their 2023 Best Tech Startups in Iowa for the second year in a row.
